Our Wooden shoe & Delftware factories look forward to your visit. we have started digging slowly base on what is ripe. Our phones are up and down like a hot air balloon, so shoot us an email if you cant get thru.  the Tulips have finished for the 2025 season.  We look forward to showing the best Tulip blooms in the world starting in April of 2026.  tickets for the 2026 season will go on sale in June.

Hours:

10am to 4pm est. currently - Monday thru Saturday

Gardens close 1hr prior to Stores

Eastern standard time ( 1hr prior to Chicago )

summer flowers will start blooming around early July.

Each Variety of tulip normally last between 3 to 14 days

With 6 Million tulips & 850 Kinds planted here.  Many kind of tulips start out only being seen at Veldheer's & the Netherlands grower. Veldheer's is a must

Vern Veldheer was born Sept 25 1925

He started Veldheer's Inc. with 100 red tulip and 300 white tulips in 1947 post WWII.  He still works 60+ hours a week.  He life has been an inspiration to many in our community, staff, family, & myself.
